Set-Up Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set-up, teardown, and maintaining extrusion tooling and single and twin-screw extruders.
- Operating forklift.
- Conducting quality control checks against set-up sheets, procedures, and work instructions; utilizing different measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Completing extrusion dimensional charts, check sheets, and required documentation; responsible for updating set-up sheets and documentation as required.
- Troubleshooting extrusion problems and providing assistance to associates on other lines when needed.
- Making cartons, skids, and tooling preparations for the next order.
- General housekeeping duties as needed.
Set-Up Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to stand for full shift.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work in hot environments.
- Ability to climb up and down platforms/stairs.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
