Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, healthcare and service, is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12 month, faculty position in Family and Community Medicine, beginning as soon as the position is filled. Appointments at the rank of Associate to Full Professor are preferred, though candidates at the Assistant Professor level will be accepted for review.

A PhD with a strong track record in research and scholarship in the fields of family medicine or primary care health services, behavioral health, pain management, prescription opioids, substance abuse, comorbid physical and psychiatric disorders, health consequences of mental illness or traumatic stress, access to care, comparative effectiveness, collaborative care, or patient centered outcomes is sought. This faculty position will be expected to develop an independent research program through external grant funding, teach in the School of Medicine, mentor faculty, residents and students in their research, and contribute to supporting other activities in the division of research as needed. Experience in quantitative methods, health services research, interventions and pragmatic trials or similar research methodology is desired. A strong record of first authored publications, current or recent history of principal investigator role on grant (NIH preferred) funded projects, and mentoring of graduate level and doctoral students is desired. Although there are no regular teaching assignments for this position, periodic lectures will be required. Current funded projects representing partial salary support is desired.. Department support will be available to permit faculty to mentor students, residents and junior faculty.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
