The Manager of Global Payroll Operations in the Payroll Department resides in Corporate Finance and the position reports to the Director of Global Payroll Operations & Incentive Compensation. Payroll Operations support 9000+ employees across 16 countries and 46 states domestically. An individual in this role is an experienced leader in global payroll who is capable of leading and developing a core team, ability to professionally communicate and liaise at all levels within the company and has an innovative and strategic mindset to perfect change and continuous improvement.

  • Oversees and manages all Domestic and International payroll activities with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring timely processing and payment deadlines.
  • Provides support, training, and leadership to global payroll staff
  • Liaises with international accounting firms and providers
  • Creates and maintains strong relationships with cross functional teams including Accounting, HR, HRIS, Global Benefits, IT, Tax, and Global Mobility departments
  • Creates and maintains payroll policies and procedures.
  • Conducts regular payroll audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drives continual improvements and efficiencies by partnering with internal and external partners to develop new and fine tune existing processes.
  • Reviews and approves journal entries and month end general ledger reconciliations.
  • Balances quarter and year-end payroll records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversees various internal and external audits.
  • Manages global payroll implementations.
  • Helps resolve issues with tax authorities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 6-10 years related experience in multi-state and global payroll processing
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from APA preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the business
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software suite and various payroll software applications
  • Oracle and ADP experience preferred, not required
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills and innovative thinking skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to professionally communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the business, executive presence, professional confidence and maturity, management and team leadership experience required.
  • Ability to embrace and provide change management leadership.
  • A high level of integrity, strong work ethic, positive energy, and a commitment to preserving the company core values and culture.
