POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the operational finance activities of the Company including financial plans and policies, accounting practices and reporting, international accounting, and due diligence activities. The position will be responsible for leading and enhancing the accounting team, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *Oversee and be the main point of contact for daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger reporting. *Develop and direct the accounting team in effective reporting to ensure the timely issuance of internal and external financials and other operating metrics. *Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to senior management and stakeholders. *Review and drive improvements in cash management process, including the effective collection of receivables and payment of financial obligations in accordance with Company policies and procedures. *Assist the Controller with SEC reporting. *Support the CFO in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term plans. *Develop and maintain robust financial systems, policies, and procedures to support accurate and efficient financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. *Drive cost efficiencies and process improvements within the finance team and throughout the organization. *Direct accounting for the Company's international entities. *Build working relationships with various levels of financial and operational management.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: *Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA qualification preferred. *Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or operations, preferably in a manufacturing industry. *Demonstrated experience in managing and leading accounting teams, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. *Exceptional communication and presentation skills. *Proactive problem solver with proven track record of implementing process improvements and maintaining efficient internal processes. *Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains or similar accounting software a plus Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Excel.
