POSITION TITLE: Human Resource Generalist
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a HR Generalist to provide human resource support, guidance, and leadership to a high-volume Human Resource department. This role will focus on improving processes and experiences for team members while minimizing and eliminating risk for the organization. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a passion for people, an approachable personality, a strong belief in the safety and well-being of team members, as well as a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership to HR Assistants within the department, managing their daily tasks, goals, and performance results
  • Manage and perform the nationwide orientation and onboarding process for all new hires
  • With direction from the VP of HR, will oversee company provided benefits and ensure accurate administration of the policies
  • Oversees company drug test compliance and testing requirements
  • Oversees Employee Relations; questions, concerns, exit interviews and new hire check-in's
  • Provide in person training to various levels and divisions of the company for things like: Open Enrollment, AntiHarassment, Performance Evals, etc.
  • Recommends innovative approaches, goals, policies, and procedures to continuously improve efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Manages the human resource information system records, conducts regular audits on the integrity of data within the system, and compiles reports from the database
  • Ensures compliance with federal, multi-state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations; provides guidance and directive on employee decisions to management teams
  • Aligns with the department strategic plans, vision, and big picture goals; develops ways to push those down to daily tasks for the team
  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership

  • Previous experience with an HRIS system, employee, and management portal

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates in a professional office environment located out of ADB headquarters
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 4+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience required
  • HR degree preferred but not required
  • SHRM-CP/PHR certification is a plus
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

This position pays between $45,000 - 60,000/year.
