Job Description
Position Title: Junior Estimator
Wage: $20-$24/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:30am-4pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Junior Estimator. This is an associate to hire role.
Junior Estimator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with the Senior Estimator to develop quotes for custom point of purchase metal
displays
- Obtain quotes from outside vendors for outside process services and component pricing and
lead time availability, i.e. custom graphics, hardware, coatings, packaging, specialty wire and
tube steel used in the final product
- Check existing production rates and estimate new rates based on actual time studies
- Work extensively with Excel and Word to create the quote and integrate into the CRM Hubspot
- Work independently to complete estimates in a timely manner typically within the same day
- Provide coverage for the Senior Estimator when out of the office
- Develop into a project manager as workload allows
Junior Estimator Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience with manufacturing processes preferred
- 1-3 years of experience working with Excel and Word
- 1-3 years of experience with operating fabrication equipment desirable
- 1-3 years of CAD experience desirable
- Ability to read design prints
- Strong communication skills
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Ability to learn and follow manufacturing processes
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Able to multitask
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
