Electrician - HVAC start at $32.57/hour

Electrician - HVAC Essential Functions:

• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
• Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit.
• Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Overhaul large air conditioning compressors. Check and adjust superheat and sub-cooling on air conditioning system.

Electrician - HVAC Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school, vocational school, or military equivalent preferred.
• Must have an EPA HVAC Certification.
• 3 years recent and relevant experience; diagnosis and repair of air conditioning systems.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a Government driver's license.
• Must have ability to braze and solder Freon lines and operate Freon reclaiming systems.
• Must have basic knowledge of motors and motor controls.
• Working knowledge of precision measurement tools. Mechanical skills and abilities. Experience in operation of basic shop equipment including hand help power tools; electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatically driven.
• Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.
• Capable of climbing ladders to access roofs.
• Ability to lift, carry and push 50-150 pounds.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires successful vetting for unescorted accessin accordance with U.S. Army andDepartment of Defense access policies.
