The basics of this position:

This position serves as a member of a cross-functional enrollment processing team. While it may be assigned specific day-to-day processing duties, the expectation of this position is to be skilled in the ability to perform all basic enrollment processes necessary to support the admission, registration, and retention of students through completion of educational goals. Responsible for interacting with students, staff, faculty and public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner that represents a student-centered philosophy, supportive of providing an exceptional student experience.

What you'll do:

  • Monitors applications for admission for all student types.
  • Works exception and error reports to resolve holds and move to next step for processing.
  • Resolves discrepancies in residency, student type, and tuition and fees assessment based on enrollment data.
  • Assists with automated and manual processing of applicants and initiation of communication regarding
    admission decision.
  • Assists with intake and entry of enrollment documents, including but not limited to: high school transcripts,
    college transcripts, GED/HiSet certificates, dual credit/dual enrollment approval forms, etc.
  • Assists with accurate and timely scanning and indexing of enrollment documents.
  • Prepares and processes admissions/enrollment correspondence to students via US postal mail and e-mail.
  • Opens, dates and distributes incoming US postal mail, email and fax communication related to enrollment
    processing.
  • Responds to email and calls regarding enrollment processing.
  • Responsible for maintaining effective working relationships with campus staff by responding in a timely
    fashion to ensure the enrollment needs of our students are met.
  • May assist during peak times with enrollment processes on campuses.
  • Must maintain knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and commit to operating
    in compliance 100% of the time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Associate's Degree or equivalent college credit and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an educational environment, preferably in admissions, registration, or student records; or 3 years of relevant experience. High attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner is a must. Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft applications suite. Strong technical aptitude and experience with Ellucian Banner student information system is a plus.
