Job Summary

Technical lead for motors, motor knowledge, and motor application for general industrial motors in fields such as pumping, material handling and air moving. Liaison between customer design engineering and internal groups such as operations, quality, product service, sales, and marketing. Work to solve customer issues that may arise and provide them with required information related to the product and motor specific application. Work on customer inquiries and complete design changes to meet customer requirements. Work with marketing to drive and support sales growth. Create and submit engineering change notices for all products. Knowledge in the design and application of electric motors is a plus.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer/project specifications
  • Work directly with customer to solve application issues
  • Assist Market Managers in identifying and developing strategic relationships with partners or potential customers in existing and new business segments.
  • Provide application knowledge/traininginternally and externally
  • Understand internal systems and process to increase efficiency of customer inquiries
  • Maintain technicalknowledge of product offering and operation
  • Create and submit engineering change orders to update products
  • Develop and create samples for customer testing
  • Complete detailed testing and competitive analysis
  • Complete electrical and mechanical design changes on motors to meet customer requirements
  • Liaison for production for line deviations and changes
  • Estimates and tracks time required to perform customer and internal support activities
  • Create and modify technical documents dealing with application and interaction of system components

Qualifications:

  • Have or ability to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering by May 2024.
  • Other degrees will be considered only if candidate has electric motor experience
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the US. This position is not available for sponsorship

Additional Job Details

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electric motor design and construction desirable
  • Ability to rely upon experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Familiarity with NEMA, UL, & CSA standards applicable for motors a plus
  • Ability effectively use Microsoft Office products and learn internal motor design software and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented, self-motivated - high achiever
  • Strong analytical ability and strategic/critical thinker
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Some travel required
