Job Summary

The Applications Engineer works within a team, from customers, suppliers, and manufacturers, to translate designs into production. Provide technical guidance to support schedule and product cost to ensure overall success on projects. Utilize appropriate tools and resources to perform necessary design tasks including design conception, analysis, testing, and verification.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Create product specifications
  • Prepare proposals and quotations per customer and marketing request.
  • Provide technical support for internal and on-site customers.
  • Support sales and marketing with product selection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with different customers.
  • Develops product knowledge and an understanding of the competitive market.
  • Keeps sales group informed on new and updated products.
  • Review customers' technical needs for complex projects and recommend specific product solutions to meet these needs.
  • Work with engineers from various departments to resolve problems that arise during and after implementation.
  • Provide Ideas and participate in cost-reduction projects.
  • Support the software group Testing and troubleshooting new software versions.
  • Support the development group on new platforms.
  • Support the Quality department.
  • Support PPAPs, SCARs, and Deviations related to customers.
  • Perform testing per internal and/or external standards and create test result reports.
  • Review and summarize test data.
  • Designing engineering experiments.
  • Create technical reports for customers.

Additional Job Details

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Good organization and prioritizing skills.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams.
  • Strong Mechanical assembly skills.
  • Knowledge on 3Ph and single Ph induction motors.
  • Knowledge on ECM Motors (constant Torque, Constant CFM).
  • Understanding of Variable frequency drives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to present to customers and internal departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 4-5 years of experience
