Position Summary:

The Software Engineer, EVC for NIS - Americas will assist in design and implement hardware and software solutions for EV Charging system. Candidate must be familiar with EV Charging infrastructure. He / She will use C/C++, Codesys to write and debug EVC Software. must be able to interface with Azure or AWS Cloud database. Must have knowledge of sensors/IoT connectivity, IoT platforms, data acquisition, data historians. Must be familiar with networking, cybersecurity, and operating systems. Candidate should have superior problem solving and communication skills to interface users/ technical / functional teams.

Essential Job Functions

  • Software development and debugging.
  • Help drive the technical design, ongoing configuration, development, testing, and maintenance of IOT applications (new deployments and enhancements)
  • Serve as the subject matter expert
  • Create support documentation (design documents, training materials, job aids, etc.)
  • Provide technical training to support staff.

Education/License Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering,

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software project delivery in manufacturing environments
  • Prior experience working in operations related field, e.g., Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Healthcare
  • Proficiency in software QA practices and testing tools
  • 2+ years of experience in developing IoT solutions
  • 7+ years of experience delivering scalable and resilient services at large enterprise scale.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment, standard office equipment.
  • OSHA compliant manufacturing facilities.
  • Customer Sites - Industrial manufacturing plants, Ports, Above & Underground Mines, Warehouses & logistics-center
  • Up to 20% Travel to customer or sister-company sites/facilities including overseas
